How much cash should I carry daily in Brazil?

i kept R$200 on me and rest on card. some taxis didn’t take card, and street food was always cash. try to avoid carrying more than R$300–350 unless you’re going far from city.

For a month-long trip I budgeted R$100 per day in cash....

I was in Salvador n Manaus, carried like R$300 always. used card for hotel n restaurants but small vendors, snacks, street food – all cash only. better to split it up and not big bills.

I usually kept about R$150–200 on me per day, just in case. Most places in Rio and São Paulo take card, but I needed cash for beach stalls, taxis, and some rural buses.
