Need cash when I land, best place in Brazil? Airport or places in the city?

Avoid the airport Euronet machines at all costs. I used a Bradesco ATM downtown Rio and my Monzo card worked fine with no conversion traps. Took out R$1000 with a R$20 fee. Still cheaper than airport machines.

If you really need cash on arrival, use the Banco24hrs ATM inside the secure zone at GRU Terminal 2 it worked with my Wise card.

the exchagne offices in the airport had a horrible rate. would avoid it. in general brasil ATMs have super high fees. I used mostly Santander ATM

I landed in São Paulo and the airport ATMs were mostly from Banco24Horas  and Bradesco . I tried one and it charged me R$24 (~$5 USD). The fee was the same then in the City...
