I need to take out quite a bit of cash during my trip. Anyone know cheapest ATMs & daily withdrawal limits for foreign cards at Lithuania ATMs?
On my Lithuania trip, I mainly used SEB and Swedbank ATMs in Vilnius and Kaunas. My Wise Visa worked fine with €400-500 withdrawal caps and €2 fees. Revolut Mastercard also worked without issues. I withdrew once during my trip, just to cover small daily expenses, while everything else went on card. ATMs were safe, easy to use, and widely available in city centers. Lithuania is one of the simplest places for cash management in the Baltics.
The only downside I found in Lithuania was the inconsistency in withdrawal limits. My HSBC debit card at Luminor capped me at €300, and the fee was €2.50. Independent ATMs in tourist areas also tried to push dynamic conversion into GBP at bad rates. Best advice: stick with SEB or Swedbank, which have higher limits and more consistent service. Lithuania is mostly cashless, so you won’t need to withdraw very often anyway.
I had a smooth experience in Lithuania. My Monzo Mastercard worked perfectly at Swedbank in Vilnius, letting me withdraw €500 in one go with only a €2 fee. SEB also worked fine with my Revolut Visa. I hardly needed cash since Lithuania is very card-friendly, but it was useful for local markets and small cafés. ATMs were modern and safe, with no unexpected rejections. Compared to other parts of Eastern Europe, Lithuania’s ATM network felt more reliable and transparent.
In Lithuania, the most reliable ATMs are from SEB, Swedbank, and Luminor. I used my Wise Visa at SEB in Vilnius, with a withdrawal limit of €400 and a €2 fee. Swedbank ATMs allowed €500 with my Revolut Mastercard. Luminor accepted my Monzo Visa but sometimes capped me at €300. ATMs are widespread in cities, with clear English instructions, so cash access isn’t a problem.
