I need to take out quite a bit of cash during my trip. Anyone know cheapest ATMs & daily withdrawal limits for foreign cards at Nauru ATMs?

If you plan on withdrawing cash in Nauru, be ready for tight ATM limits and fees. Most ATMs allow a maximum of $250 per day for foreign cards and charge both local and international fees. Since ATM locations are limited to Yaren, it’s best to make your withdrawals early. Using travel cards like Wise can reduce some fees, but always carry backup cash just in case.

Nauru’s ATM infrastructure is very basic, with very few machines that accept foreign cards. Daily withdrawal limits are low, typically maxing out at around $200-$300 USD per day. Fees can be surprisingly high due to lack of competition, so bringing enough cash for your stay is wise. If you must use ATMs, try to use Visa cards and avoid multiple transactions to minimize fees.

I found that ATMs in Nauru are few and far between, and foreign cards aren’t always guaranteed to work, especially Mastercard. Daily withdrawal limits hover around $250 USD. Expect withdrawal fees on both local and home bank sides, which can add up quickly. Prepaid travel cards can help reduce those fees, but cash is definitely king on this tiny island.

Nauru has very limited ATM facilities, mostly concentrated around the capital Yaren. ATMs that do accept foreign Visa and Mastercard cards usually have strict daily withdrawal limits, often around $200 to $300 USD. Fees can be high due to limited options, so it’s smart to plan withdrawals carefully. Local banks may charge a fixed ATM fee plus international fees from your bank. Bring plenty of cash backup as many places don’t accept cards.
