I was using an ATM near my hostel in Singapore, and it took my card and never gave it back. No error message, just gone. Has anyone had this happen? Whats the fastest way to get it back? Any advice on who to call or what to do next?
Don’t panic. Try calling the ATM operator first -usually their number is printed right on the machine. If it was a local bank like UOB, DBS, OCBC, they might hold the card for 24-48 hours, but only release it if you can show ID and prove it’s yours. If not, block it immediately.
Happened at an OCBC machine for me. I had to call their customer service, which was actually pretty responsive. Still didnt got it back, frozed it instantly
yeah same thing bro. machine outside a POSB in Chinatown kept my Revolut. i called the number on the ATM right away but they couldnt really help me. I frozed my card ASAP.
This happened to me at a DBS ATM near Little India. No warning, no error, just ate my card. I went into the nearby DBS branch the next morning with my passport, and they had the card,thank goooodd....would have been a nightmare otherwise!
