In planning mode - how much budget should I keep in mind for Canada - any experiences?

My daily was like 80 CAD but I skipped touristy stuff. I used rbc ATMs to withdraw once every few days and paid with my Wise card where possible. If u stay in dorms and walk more than Uber, u can manage on less.

Toronto was expensive man 😩. I tried to keep it under 100 a day but it was tough. 15 CAD for breakfast, metro is 3.35, lunch another 20. Ended up spending like 120+ daily. Groceries helped when I stayed in one place longer.

I did a full month cross-country trip and budgeted around $2500 CAD total. Stayed in hostels, used public transport, and didn’t eat out too fancy. If you plan to do tours like whale watching or Banff hikes, add more.

Canada’s not cheap tbh. I was spending around 90 to 120 CAD per day::: hostel, food, transport, maybe a museum. Vancouver was def more pricey than Montreal. I cooked a bit at hostels to save money.
