I recommend using buses for transport and eating at local joints like Olveston House for affordable meals. Keep $40-$50 handy daily. Montserrat has a small ATM network, mainly in Brades. Tipping around 10% is appreciated but not compulsory.

The vibe is chill but not super cheap. Expect to spend $15 for a meal at a nicer spot, taxis can cost upwards of $10 for short trips. Use the public buses if you want savings, they run frequently. Hostels like Montserrat Youth Hostel offer beds under $30. Carry enough EC dollars as it’s the official currency.

If you want budget travel here, plan around $50-$60 daily. Local grocery shops are the best for meals on the cheap. Transport options are limited-buses are reliable and prices low, taxis cost more. ATM access is limited, so bring cash or a debit card with no foreign ATM fees.

Montserrat is small but pricey. Meals at local cafes can be $12-20. Public bus is cheap (~$2); taxis are about $10-$15 within the island. I stayed at Montserrat Guest House for $40 a night, which was basic but friendly. Bringing $40-$50 daily should cover meals, transport, and small tips. Don't miss the volcanic park, but expect entrance fees.
