Just landed - wondering what gives the better rate in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: ATM withdrawal or airport exchange counter?

Land, grab just a little cash at the airport exchange if you must, but use the main bank ATMs for everything else. I stayed at Cobblestone Inn and their staff all pointed me to Republic Bank or Bank of St Vincent ATMs, which gave me noticeably better rates than the arrival counter.

Definitely recommend going ATM over airport desk in Saint Vincent. Exchange kiosks at the airport don’t have great rates. I had the best luck with BNB (Bank of National Bank) and Republic Bank ATMs for my Mastercard - just avoid little stand-alone machines near touristy spots.

I tried both at Argyle International Airport and the Republic Bank ATM in town. The ATM came out ahead on the rate every time, and the counter at the airport charged commission. Make sure your card works, but if it does, withdraw in larger amounts to keep fees low.

Just landed in St Vincent. The airport exchange counter gave me a really poor rate compared to the Republic Bank ATM I found in Kingstown. After accounting for the ATM’s fee, I still had more EC dollars in my pocket. If you want to save, head to a main bank ATM.
