Trying to find out if Canada widely accepts cards in restaurants and shops and ATMs - any suggestions

Used my Mastercard at Servus Credit Union in Canada. Saw an Amex sticker too

Visa card worked fine at HSBC Canada. Smooth experience. Yes but amex also accepted here
