I need to take out quite a bit of cash during my trip. Anyone know cheapest ATMs & daily withdrawal limits for foreign cards at Jamaica ATMs?

On my Jamaica trip, I mainly used NCB ATMs in Kingston and Montego Bay. My Wise Visa worked fine with JMD 25,000 limits and JMD 385 fees. Scotiabank also accepted my Revolut Mastercard. I withdrew once every three days, enough for meals, taxis, and activities. Jamaica is still cash-oriented outside resorts, so I always kept JMD 5,000-10,000 handy. ATMs were reliable in big cities but less so in rural areas. Planning ahead made my trip smoother.

Jamaican ATMs can be frustrating due to low limits. My HSBC debit at Scotiabank capped me at JMD 20,000, and the fee was JMD 385 every time. Machines in smaller towns often went offline or rejected my card completely. Independent ATMs in tourist zones also had higher fees. Best advice: stick with Scotiabank or NCB in major cities, withdraw the maximum in one go, and carry USD as backup, since it’s widely accepted across Jamaica.

I had a good experience using ATMs in Jamaica. My Monzo Mastercard worked fine at NCB in Kingston, where I withdrew JMD 25,000 with a JMD 385 fee. Scotiabank also worked with my Revolut Visa without problems. I withdrew twice during my week-long trip for food, taxis, and excursions. Most hotels accepted cards, but cash was needed for markets and drivers. ATMs were modern and safe when used in malls or bank branches, and I never had a card rejection.

In Jamaica, the most reliable ATMs are from Scotiabank, NCB (National Commercial Bank), and Sagicor. I used my Wise Visa at Scotiabank in Montego Bay, with a limit of JMD 20,000 (~$130 USD) and a JMD 385 fee. NCB ATMs allowed JMD 25,000 with my Revolut Mastercard. Sagicor accepted my Monzo Visa, though sometimes capped me at JMD 15,000. ATMs are common in cities but less reliable in rural parishes, so withdraw before travelling outside tourist areas.
