When I visited Bermuda, I used HSBC Bank ATMs almost exclusively. My Wise Visa worked fine with a $2000 limit and no local fees. I usually withdrew once for the whole trip since most expenses went on credit cards. Cash came in handy for public buses, small cafés, and tipping boat crews. Overall, Bermuda ATMs were straightforward, but definitely avoid independent machines with higher fees.

Bermuda ATMs aren’t always perfect. My Chase debit card was rejected twice at an HSBC Bermuda machine near the ferry terminal. When it finally worked, the limit was only $2000 and good thing no fees. I tried some independent ATMs inside small shops charged $6 and capped withdrawals at $200. Clarien Bank was the most consistent, but even those could be busy at weekends - no fees but only 500 dollar limit. My advice: stick with bank branches, withdraw larger sums during weekdays, and avoid standalone ATMs in tourist spots.

I had no issues withdrawing cash in Bermuda. Clarien bank ATMs in Hamilton accepted my Revolut Mastercard without problems. I withdrew $500 USD in one go with zero fees. HSBC Bermuda also worked fine with my Monzo card and had the same limits. Most places in Bermuda accept cards, but cash was useful for buses, ferries, and beachside food stands. I withdrew just twice during my week and found the system very reliable compared to other island destinations.

In Bermuda, the best ATMs for foreign cards are Butterfield Bank and HSBC Bermuda. I used my Wise Visa at Butterfield, and the withdrawal limit was $500 USD per transaction, with a $3 local fee. HSBC Bermuda ATMs had similar limits and accepted my Monzo card. Independent ATMs in shops and gas stations often charge $5-6, so avoid those. ATMs are mainly in Hamilton and Dockyard, so withdraw enough before exploring smaller parishes.
