For cruise visitors coming into Martinique, BNP Paribas in Fort-de-France is super reliable and charges zero euro ATM fee for foreign cards. My UK Barclays debit worked fine, and I withdrew enough for sailing day tours with no nasty surprises. Machines never ran out of cash during Carnival, but I always recommend getting your withdrawal done early in the day just in case.

If you’re staying in Trois-Îlets or Saint-Pierre, look for Banque Postale ATMs. No fee for foreign cards as of 2025, and I managed bigger withdrawals for hotel payments with zero local cost. BNP Paribas was just as good, but make sure you ignore Soc Gen or Crédit Agricole if fees are unclear or not displayed; stick with the banks that clearly state €0 per transaction.

Found that BNP Paribas and Banque Postale both let me take out cash in Martinique without any withdrawal charge, which was awesome while traveling on a budget. The only fee was sometimes what my home bank back in the States added, but nothing locally. Withdrawal limits go as high as your card might allow-perfect for getting euro cash ahead of beach trips to Les Salines.

When traveling in Fort-de-France, BNP Paribas and Banque Postale ATMs were lifesavers-no extra ATM fee for my foreign cards. Was able to withdraw right up to my bank card’s daily limit and didn’t notice any hidden surcharges from the French banks. I recommend using these machines, especially the one outside Centre Commercial La Galléria, as they’re always well-stocked and fast.
