For convenience: $185-$235 removed link Beach resort in Qurum $110-$140 nightly, seafood marina dinner $25-$35, private Daymaniyat charter $120-$150 (halve it by sharing), curated Nizwa + Jabal Akhdar loop $70. Add taxis/coffees $10-$15. Mixing one city-hotel night ($70-$90) with two resort nights brings the average nearer $160/day, but if you want all-resort ease, keep the higher figure and you’ll cover spa time plus one signature excursion.

We averaged $130-$165/day because we added Wahiba Sands. Camp with dinner/breakfast was $90-$120 per night. Nizwa Friday market with a guide $30 each. Royal Opera House tour $8-$10; Bimmah Sinkhole free. Meals $8-$12 at cafeterias and $18-$25 for nicer dinners. Car rental, split between two, came to $20-$25 per person per day. This bracket let us string together dunes at sunrise, fort hopping, and one boat/snorkel day without feeling squeezed.

Sweet spot for me was $95-$120 removed link Rental car $35-$45, cheap fuel, and mid-range hotels $45-$60 in Al Khuwair or Mutrah. Nizwa Fort ticket $10, Jabal Akhdar viewpoints free, and a Daymaniyat Islands snorkel $60-$80. Local cafeterias fed us for $5-$8; sit-down seafood $15-$20. Having wheels cut tour costs and opened wadis (Shab, Bani Khalid) for just parking + snacks. That range funded one noteworthy activity every other day without watching every rial.

Oman isn’t ultra-cheap, but I kept days near $55-$70. Mwasalat buses around Muscat were $1-$2, shawarma/biryani meals $3-$6, and a simple Mutrah guesthouse $25-$30. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and Mutrah Corniche are free; Bait Al Zubair museum $3-$5. A shared excursion to Wadi Shab cost $25-$30 when we split taxis. I added $2-$4 for karak tea and dates. If you avoid car rental and pick occasional group tours, $60 covers food, bed, transport, and one scenic wadi day every couple of days.
