Jordan can swing between cheap and expensive. On days in Amman, I only spent $40-$50-hostels were $15, meals $5, and buses under $But when I hit Petra, the $70 entrance ticket made that day almost $100. Wadi Rum overnight was $60. The Dead Sea resorts charged $30 for day access. So the average was around $80 daily across a week-long trip. Keep in mind attractions are costly, but daily living expenses are super affordable.

For Jordan, I averaged $85 daily. Hotels in Amman were $30, dinners were $8-$12, and Uber rides were $5-$10. The main killer was Petra-I did two days and spent $130 just on tickets. Wadi Rum jeep tour and overnight camp was $70. Other sights like Jerash or Mt. Nebo were cheap, around $5. Transport on JETT buses was affordable at $7-$10. If you’re going to Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea, plan $80+ daily.

I spent around $75 daily in Jordan. Hostel beds were $18, local meals were $2-$5, and minibuses between towns were super cheap. Petra was the big hit at $70 entry. I also stayed in a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum, which cost $50 with food included. If you’re skipping the big-ticket attractions, you could do Jordan on $50 a day, but realistically, most travelers spend $70-$90. Water, taxis, and entrance fees add up quickly.

Jordan was $70-$90 daily for me. Amman hostels were $20, meals like falafel sandwiches were $2, and taxis around the city cost $5-$10. The big expense was Petra-entry is $70 for one day. Wadi Rum tours were $60 including overnight camp. Dead Sea trips cost $30. Buses between cities were cheap, $5-$7. So while daily costs are low, the major sights add up. If you’re visiting Petra and Wadi Rum, budget at least $80 per day.
