If you’re coming for a short holiday, expect €150-€200 removed link Beach resorts in Ayia Napa or Paphos easily hit €100-€150/night, with meals at upscale restaurants €40-€50 including seafood and cocktails. Car hire with GPS was €35/day, taxis around €15-€20 per ride. Tips at high-end restaurants and for hotel staff added €10-€15 daily. Excursions like wine tours in Troodos cost €50-€60. That’s a safe estimate for comfort-focused travellers.

I lived a month in Limassol on €70 removed link Airbnb room €35/night, groceries from Lidl and AlphaMega supermarkets €15/day, and a couple meals out weekly at tavernas €20-€25 each. Bus pass for the city was €20/week, which saved money. Tips were modest, mostly rounding up. Attractions like the Kourion ruins were €4.50 entry, so sightseeing didn’t eat much into the budget. My costs were steady, but occasional road trips with rental cars raised daily averages.

For Cyprus, I’d say €90-€110/day is comfortable. Boutique hotels in Larnaca were €50-€65/night, and dinners by the marina with wine and fresh fish came to €25-€35. Renting a car was the biggest expense at €30/day plus fuel, but it made visiting Ayia Napa beaches or Paphos ruins easier. Tips at nicer restaurants were expected around 10%. Local buses were cheap but slower. On this budget, I had comfort and flexibility without overspending.

I stayed in hostels in Nicosia and Limassol, averaging €20-€25/night. Local meals like souvlaki or halloumi wraps were €5-€8, and a taverna dinner with salad, bread, and beer cost about €1Buses between towns cost €4-€7, and within the city around €1.50 per ride. Groceries for self-catering averaged €10/day. I tipped 5-10% in cafes if service was good. My budget hovered around €50-€60/day, not including excursions. Adding day trips to Troodos Mountains or Akamas hikes bumped my spend closer to €70/day.
