Luxembourg drained my wallet compared to elsewhere in Europe. I was spending €120 daily: €50 hostel, €25 for lunch and dinner, €20 for coffee and drinks, and €25 for activities. Grund nightlife alone cost €20-€30 a night. I loved exploring castles and vineyards, but costs add up. For a week, €800-€850 is realistic unless you strictly self-cater.

I’d budget at least €100 daily in Luxembourg. Hotels in the city are €70, restaurant dinners €25, and coffee/snack €5 each. Public transport is free countrywide since 2020, which helps. I spent €30 on a guided walking tour of the Old Town, which was worth it. Outside the city, day trips don’t cost much, but accommodation keeps daily totals high.

My trip averaged €95 daily. I stayed in guesthouses for €50, grabbed supermarket food for €10-€12, and dinners were €18-€20. I visited Mullerthal hiking trails, which were free but transport cost €10-€1Museums were €5-€10. It’s not outrageously expensive, but compared to neighboring Germany or Belgium, it adds up faster. €90-€100 daily is realistic if you’re not splurging.

Luxembourg is pricey. I averaged €110 per day. Hostels in Luxembourg City were €35-€40, meals in restaurants €20-€25, and bus rides €2 (though often free on weekends). Attractions like Vianden Castle cost €8 entry, plus €15 train to get there. Beers in Grund area were €7-€8. Luxembourg is small, so transport is cheap, but food and lodging push budgets higher.
