For meals, transport, tips - whats the safe amount to carry in Netherlands ? Trying to plan a daily budget for a month long trip
My daily spend was about €60. Used my Revolut card for most things. Just kept €20 cash in pocket for things like bike rentals or market snacks. Netherlands isn’t super cheap but you can manage if you plan meals
I budgeted €75 per day and felt comfortable. That covered lunch out, some groceries for dinner, trams, and one or two attractions. Tips aren’t a big thing here but I left small change for really good service.
if u cook at hostel n skip touristy stuff, u can live on €40-50 a day easy. i biked most places n just used cash for small things. card works everywhere tho.
I was in Amsterdam for 3 weeks. I spent about €60-70 per day including public transport, meals, museum tickets and occasional coffee. Street food is cheaper, and day passes for trams help a lot
