Just landed - wondering what gives the better rate in Poland: ATM withdrawal or airport exchange counter?
I took out 1000 PLN at a Pekao ATM in Gdańsk using my N26 card. 0 fees great rate. Wouldn’t recommend changing at airport unless totally necessary.
I landed in Warsaw and compared both. The Kantor at the airport was charging 4.3 PLN per euro, went inside city and withdaw with my German Revolut at Bank Pekao - NO FEES.
airport exchanges are a ripoff. i checked at Chopin Airport.. their rate was almost 15% worse than what i got at an ING ATM in the city. if u need emergency cash, take just a bit n wait till u reach town.
Always go for ATM if you're using a good travel card like Wise or Revolut. I withdrew złoty at a PKO Bank Polski ATM in Kraków and the rate was way better than what the airport counter offered.
