Want to avoid last-minute ATM runs. Do most hostels in Poland take card payments at check-in
Hostels in Poland are mostly card-friendly. Used my Revolut everywhere. The only time I had to use cash was for laundry tokens and lockers, not for the room.
I stayed in Poznań and Wrocław, both hostels accepted Mastercard and even Amex at check-in. But one of them charged a 2% fee for card payments. Heads-up, always ask before booking if they add extra.
yup paid by visa at 3 hostels. no issues at all. even small ones had portable card readers. i barely used any cash tbh.
Yes, most hostels in cities like Warsaw, Kraków, and Gdańsk accept cards at check-in. I’ve worked in hostels here and we almost always have a terminal. Just double-check in advance if you’re staying in a small town or mountain region.
