On a budget and looking for free ATMs in Serbia - Any top banks?
I spent a few weeks in Belgrade earlier this year and tried multiple ATMs with my Wise card. Halkbank ATMs were the only ones that didn’t charge me any local withdrawal fee. I used the one near Republic Square and another close to Kalenić Market both worked without any conversion prompt and were quick. Other banks like Erste Bank and Addiko charged between 300-600 RSD per withdrawal. If you’re budgeting, stick to Halkbank it was the most consistent and fee-free with international cards.
Was there in Spring this year, I used my N26 and Wise card at Yettel banka and Halkbank - no fees.. Yettel Banka I was able to withdraw up to D200000 and Halkbank slightly more to D300000. Avoid OTP Banka - super high fees ( D600).
Skipped withdrawing from Intesa ATM in Serbia because the fee was too high.
