Travelling soon and looking for best ATMs in Denmark that work well with foreign debit/credit cards and dont charge crazy fees. Any recos will be highly appreciated.
I barely needed cash in Denmark, but the few times I withdrew, it was painless. Danske Bank ATMs at Copenhagen Central Station accepted my Monzo card with no local fee, and the limit was 6,000 DKK. Jyske Bank also worked with my Revolut Visa charged me a 50 kroner fee. I only withdrew once during my entire trip because almost everywhere - restaurants, trains, even small kiosks - took contactless. Compared to many European countries, Denmark was by far the easiest for foreign card users.
Denmark is very card-friendly, but if you need cash, Nordea, Jyske Bank and Sydbank ATMs are the best options. My Wise Visa worked at Jyske Bank in Copenhagen, with a withdrawal limit of 2,000 DKK with a 2,000 DKK fee. Nordea had a similar limit with my Revolut Mastercard. ATMs are everywhere in big cities but less common in rural towns. Always withdraw in DKK and reject dynamic currency conversion into EUR/GBP for the best rates.
Confirmed: every Danske Bank ATM charges 25 kr. as a withdrawal fee in Denmark. allows you to withdraw 2,000 per withdrawal.
All Danske Bank ATMs in Denmark have a consistent withdrawal fee of 25 DKK. Worked smoothly for me.
Danske ATMs charge a flat withdrawal fee of 25 DKK - good to know in advance.
