During my visit to Jersey, I mostly used NatWest International ATMs, which worked perfectly with my Wise Visa card. The withdrawal limit was £500 per transaction, and there was no added fee from the local bank. HSBC machines also worked, though the limit was a bit lower at £300. I withdrew once for the week, which covered buses, local seafood markets, and some small pubs. Everything else I paid by card. Jersey felt very modern in terms of banking, but I was glad to have a bit of cash handy for tips and bus fares.

One thing to watch in Jersey is independent ATMs in tourist areas that sometimes charge £3-4 per withdrawal. My HSBC debit card also faced a £2.50 fee at a Lloyds International machine in St. Brelade, which was annoying. but i think that was from my card, not the ATM. Limits weren’t consistent - sometimes i could get only £300, sometimes £500 depending on the bank. I found NatWest International to be the most reliable overall. My advice: stick with big-name banks in St. Helier and take enough cash out in advance before heading into rural areas. those dont have any fees.

I had a good experience withdrawing cash in Jersey. NatWest International ATMs on King Street accepted my Revolut Visa card without a hitch, and I was able to get £500 in one go. HSBC in St. Helier also worked with my Monzo card and charged no local fee. Limits were decent compared to other islands, and since most shops, buses, and restaurants take cards, I only needed cash for smaller cafés and the local markets. It’s definitely easy to manage money here without stress.

In Jersey, NatWest International and HSBC ATMs are the safest bet. My Wise Mastercard worked fine at NatWest St. Helier, with a withdrawal limit of £500 per transaction and no local fee. HSBC allowed £300-400 per withdrawal. Lloyds International also had machines, but some tried to push GBP-to-USD conversion, which is best avoided. ATMs are clustered around St. Helier, so it’s best to withdraw before heading out to smaller parishes where options are limited.
