My credit card keeps declining in Albania and I have enough money on there and all international transactions are activated - what do I do?

Honestly, Albania’s ATM system can be fussy. Sometimes it’s not your card, it’s just the ATM network. Try different banks like OTP, Credins, or Tirana Bank

I called my bank after three failed tries, they said the card wasn’t blocked, but local banks might be rejecting it. I was using a Chase credit card.switching to a different ATM brand, Union Bank accepted it fine.

yo i feel u. my mastercard from australia was getting declined nonstop even tho i had balance. turned out the ATM operator (BKT i think) just didn’t play nice with foreign cards. tried ABI bank and it finally worked. if you have Revolut or Wise, def try those.

Had the same problem in Tirana, my Visa card from KBC wouldn’t work at most ATMs, even though everything was set up right. I called my bank, and they said the ATM networks in Albania sometimes block foreign cards automatically. Used my Wise card as a backup, no issues there.
