Most travelers budget about AUD 65 daily in Kiribati, especially around Betio where food vendors and taxis operate on cash. ATMs from ANZ or BSP are limited, so bring cash before exploring.

On average, AUD 55 daily should cover your needs in Kiribati, including food near the Tuvalu National Library and taxi rides to nearby attractions like Coconut Beach. Card payments are rare, so cash is key.

I found that around AUD 60 per day suits trips around South Tarawa, factoring in meals at local cafés and taxi fares. Small family-run guesthouses near the main bazaar are budget-friendly and convenient.

Kiribati travelers typically budget around AUD 50 to 70 daily, mainly for transport, meals, and occasional local tours. Staying near Alofi Village, I found food and taxi costs reasonable but ATMs are scarce, so plan to carry sufficient Australian dollars.
