I need to take out quite a bit of cash during my trip. Anyone know cheapest ATMs & daily withdrawal limits for foreign cards at Tonga ATMs?
The ATM withdrawal limit in Tonga is about 2,000 Tongan Pa’anga daily at both BSP and ANZ banks and both charge like 12 TOP. Since cash is king in Tonga, having enough with you is key, especially if visiting outer islands without ATMs.
Tongan ATMs usually set withdrawal limits of 900 per transaction and 2,000 TOP per day. ATM fees at BSP were 12 TOP per withdrawal for my Visa.
