Around 380 TMT daily allowed me a decent experience in Ashgabat. I ate local food, took taxis for about 20-30 TMT per ride, and stayed in mid-range hotels. Cash payments were common everywhere.

My daily spending in Turkmenistan was about $105, covering basic meals, transports like taxis to the Tolkuchka Bazaar, and modest lodging near the National Museum.

I managed with roughly $110 a day in Turkmenistan by choosing local eateries and taking shared taxis instead of expensive hotel services. Staying near Independence Square helped keep transport costs down.

Ashgabat isn’t the cheapest. I budgeted around 350 to 400 TMT ($100-$115) daily, which covered meals at places like the Yimpash Restaurant, taxis, and sightseeing. Hotels like the Yyldyz were on the higher end but comfortable.
