My average was $120 per day across 10 days. I mixed guesthouses ($50/night) with occasional splurge days at resorts. Meals in local islands were $8-$12, excursions like manta ray trips $40. Ferries kept transport costs low. Maldives can be done from $70 to $400 daily, depending on style.

Resorts are another world. I spent $350 daily at a private island resort-$200 for the room, $100 for meals/drinks, and $50 for diving. Transfers by seaplane were $250 round trip. Gorgeous but expensive. If you want luxury, Maldives can easily reach $400+ per day.

I went mid-range and spent $150 daily. Guesthouse on Dhigurah was $70, meals $20 total, and excursions like whale shark tours $50. Ferries were cheap, but I also paid $25 once for a speedboat. It was comfortable without being extravagant.

Maldives on a budget is possible. I spent $70 a day on Maafushi. Guesthouse was $40, meals at local cafes $6-$10, and ferries from Malé just $2-$Excursions like snorkeling trips cost $25. It’s not luxury, but you can enjoy the same beaches as resorts at a fraction of the price.
