Axis Bank ATM in India has always had cash when Ive visited - service is good and my Visa Platinum Easy Secure card worked well.

Kotak Bank ATM was very small - tough access for wheelchair users. Charged _200 for a _10,000 withdrawal. A/C and functionality were hit or miss.

Union Bank in India charged about 2% in fees for my foreign card withdrawal. Check fees before proceeding.

Punjab National Bank ATM near Manikaran hot springs, Shiva temple, and Gurudwara. Well-placed and works.

Same Central Bank ATM at Manikaran charges 6.75% FX fee. Accepted all major card types, but fees are high.

ICICI ATM is almost always out of cash. Locals say exchange agents drain it regularly. Not reliable.

SBI in India asked me to Accept or Decline Conversion. Hit Decline! That way, you skip the 8% fee. The good news? SBI doesnt charge any separate ATM withdrawal fee.

Axis Bank in India gave me the same choice-With or Without Conversion. Go with Without Conversion to avoid getting charged more.
