My trip around Baidoa cost about $45 a day, which included meals, taxis, and minor fees for markets and historic sites. I mostly stayed in guesthouses that accepted cash only. Having Somali shillings in small denominations made payment easier.

In Somalia, daily expenses tend to hover around $35-$50, depending on where you stay. I stayed near Liido Beach and found local transport affordable, but hotel prices can vary. Mixing street food with occasional restaurant meals balanced my budget.

I spent roughly $40 a day during my stay in Hargeisa, which covered food, short taxi rides, and entry to various city attractions. Cash was king, so I withdrew from Amal Bank ATMs regularly. The local BH Hotel offered good value for lodging.

Traveling around Mogadishu, I found budgeting about 20,000 to 25,000 SOS ($35-$45) daily worked well. This covered meals at local restaurants near Bakara Market, taxis, and some sightseeing. Staying at hotels like Jazeera Palace took a good chunk of that budget, but local eateries were affordable.
