Around 23,000 CFA francs a day seemed fair for exploring Mali’s capital. I enjoyed local markets, got taxis for around 1,500 francs, and entered museums. It wasn’t lavish but comfortable.

In my week around Mali, I found a daily budget of roughly $40 to $50 balanced comfort and experiences. Staying at mid-range hotels like Azalai Grand Hotel helped keep costs predictable.

I stayed near the Hippodrome district and spent about 22,000 CFA francs daily. Street food filled me up cheaply, but taxis could get pricey depending on distance-usually 1,000-2,000 CFA francs.

When I wandered Bamako, I budgeted around 25,000 CFA francs ($45) a day. This included tasty meals at places near Avenue Moussa Tavele, taxis for short city trips, and visits to cultural spots like the National Museum.
