Most travelers I met put their daily budget in Equatorial Guinea at around $85, considering moderate lodging near Malabo airport, local dining, and cabs. Keep in mind that some activities and hotel amenities can push costs higher, so a buffer can be helpful.

Equatorial Guinea isn’t budget-friendly but you can manage around $80 daily for meals, transport, and some sightseeing. Staying in Bata is slightly cheaper than Malabo, with guesthouses like Hotel Colonia Tarrazu offering affordable rates. Taxis tend to be cash-only, so plan your money accordingly.

If you’re on a tighter budget in Equatorial Guinea, I’d say $60 a day is doable by eating street food near Malabo City and skipping costly tours. Taxis within the city usually cost around 2,000-3,000 XAF per ride. ATMs at Banco Nacional de Guinea Ecuatorial are reliable for cash withdrawals.

Traveling in Malabo, expect to spend about $70-$90 a day if you’re aiming for a comfortable trip. This budget covers meals at local spots near Plaza de la Independencia, short taxi rides, and entrance fees to attractions like Pico Basile. Hotels like Hotel Panafrica tend to be mid-range, so lodging costs take a good chunk of the daily budget.
