I found 12,000 KMF a day comfortable during my stay in Moroni. Small taxis and bus rides cost little, and meals from markets were filling and cheap. Tips were modest but appreciated.

Comoros isn’t expensive, but budgeting about 11,000 KMF daily offered enough to enjoy street meals, short taxi journeys, and modest tipping. Staying in guesthouses near the harbor was affordable and convenient.

I stayed near the Old Friday Mosque and averaged about $22 a day in Comoros for food, transport, and tips. Taxis were cash-only, so I withdrew cash from BMCI Comoros ATMs before heading out.

When in Moroni, I budgeted around 10,000-12,000 KMF ($20-$25 USD) daily, which worked for local meals, minibus rides, and small tips. Street food was affordable, while taxis around markets cost about KMF 500-1,000 per trip. Lodging at local guesthouses helped keep costs low.
