I need to take out quite a bit of cash during my trip. Anyone know cheapest ATMs & daily withdrawal limits for foreign cards at Sudan ATMs?

For withdrawing cash in Sudan, expect about $300 daily limits with local ATM fees plus your home bank’s charges. Bank of Khartoum ATMs are common and accept Visa cards, but since Sudan is a bit restrictive, not all foreign cards are accepted everywhere. Multiple fees can stack up, so a travel card like Revolut or Wise can save money. Carry extra cash just in case, especially if going outside bigger cities.

Sudan’s ATMs like those at Bank of Khartoum offer daily withdrawal limits for foreigners around $300, which is decent but fees from local ATMs combined with your bank’s charges tend to add up quickly. If you want bigger cash amounts, plan your withdrawals carefully or consider prepaid travel cards that reduce fees. Also, many businesses still prefer cash, so not everything will let you pay by card.

I used my Visa card at a Sudan ATM recently and noticed the withdrawal limit was $300 daily, with fees around $5-$7 per transaction including both local and international charges. The Bank of Khartoum’s Visa debit card is pretty standard here, but foreign cards can get hit with multiple fees. Since card acceptance isn’t everywhere, carrying some cash is smart, especially outside Khartoum.

If you’re traveling in Sudan and need to withdraw cash, Bank of Khartoum ATMs are your best bet. They accept Visa cards, but fees can add up since there is usually a local ATM charge plus your bank’s international fees. Daily withdrawal limits for foreign cards typically max out at about $300 USD per day. Be sure to check with your bank for exact limits and let them know before travel to avoid blocks. Cash is still heavily preferred in many places, so plan accordingly.
