I need to take out quite a bit of cash during my trip. Anyone know cheapest ATMs & daily withdrawal limits for foreign cards at Equatorial Guinea ATMs?

ATMs in Equatorial Guinea are mostly in major cities and accept foreign cards cautiously. Local fees usually run $2-$4 per withdrawal, added to your bank's fees. Withdrawal amounts max out around $300 per transaction, with daily limits depending on your card issuer as well. In my experience, multiple withdrawals get costly due to fees stacking up fast. It’s best to maximize each cash withdrawal and also carry some local CFA francs cash for smaller expenses.

Equatorial Guinea isn’t flush with foreign-friendly ATMs, but Malabo has a few spots where Visa cards work. Fees per withdrawal can be around $2 to $4 from the ATM and your bank might add more. Daily withdrawal limits are usually around $300, with maybe 3 to 5 allowed transactions. For big cash needs, multiple withdrawals mean stacked fees, so using travel cards with fee-free ATM withdrawals can save money.

I used a foreign debit card in Equatorial Guinea’s ATMs and fees were a bit high-usually around $3 local ATM fees plus some international fees. Withdrawal limits were roughly $250-$300 per transaction, sometimes limiting withdrawals to 3 per day. Make sure to check your home bank’s withdrawal cap too. Plan to do fewer big withdrawals rather than a bunch of small ones to minimize fees. Carrying some cash as backup is a must here since card acceptance is limited.

In Equatorial Guinea, ATMs accepting foreign cards are mostly found in Malabo and Bata. Visa is generally more accepted than Mastercard. Fees can include local ATM fees of about $2 to $4 plus your bank’s charges. Withdrawal limits depend on the bank but typically are around $300 per transaction, with maybe a max of 3-5 withdrawals per day. Using multi-currency travel cards like Revolut or Wise helps reduce fees and get better exchange rates.
