Trying to avoid paying crazy ATM fees while traveling in Morocco. Anyone found ATMs that are free for foreign cards? Would love specific banks or locations if possible.

BBanco Popular and Société Générale took my Mastercard debit reliably with fees around 23 MAD. Maximum withdrawal was about 2000 MAD, which suited my needs.

I used ATMs at Attijariwafa Bank, BMCE, and CIH in Casablanca and Marrakesh. Every withdrawal with my Revolut card cost between 20 and 35 MAD, which felt reasonable

I withdraw around 2000 MAD (~$200) each time per ATM limit. Banco CIH charged me just 35 MAD per withdrawal. Stick to major banks inside branches.

There is no dialog for the fee. For example I take out max 2000 DH and get from my bank the exchange rate of 192.16 Euro. Brilliant. Then I looked in the banking app and was charged 196.39 Euro. There was no question about using Euro or Dirrahm at all.

Reconfirmed - withdrew 2000 MAD, was charged more than expected, and no option was shown to accept or decline conversion.

Same issue - Al Barid ATM wasnt operational. Consistently unreliable.

Al Barid ATMs in Morocco never seem to work. Tried multiple times without luck.
