Wise card declined in Morocco

Wise worked great in Europe but yeah, Morocco was a mess. Some ATMs just didn’t recognize it 🙁

I think it’s the local network. A lot of Moroccan POS systems still don’t play well with online banks or digital-first cards like Wise or Revolut. I used my debit card form Ireland and it worked fine =)

Had the same issue in Tangier. Wise worked perfectly in Spain but kept getting declined at stores and some ATMs in Morocco. Turns out not all terminals here accept prepaid cards, even if they’re Visa or Mastercard.
