Use branch ATMs only. Mine was swallowed at a random hotel lobby machine and there was no one to contact. Lost the card. Learned my lesson fast.

I never had a problem, but I wouldn’t use outdoor ATMs at night. Used the ones at Carrefour or inside bank lobbies and felt totally fine.

Markets, taxis, and small restaurants almost always want cash. I kept 500 dirhams with me daily just to be safe =)
