Use branch ATMs only. Mine was swallowed at a random hotel lobby machine and there was no one to contact. Lost the card. Learned my lesson fast.

I never had a problem, but I wouldn’t use outdoor ATMs at night. Used the ones at Carrefour or inside bank lobbies and felt totally fine.

Cash is king here. I kept a 200 dirham bundle just for taxis and resisted the stress.

Markets, taxis, and small restaurants almost always want cash. I kept 500 dirhams with me daily just to be safe =)

Wise worked great in Europe but yeah, Morocco was a mess. Some ATMs just didn’t recognize it 🙁

Used Amex for my hotel in Guayaquil but not much else. It kept getting declined in shops. Had to rely on my Wise Visa most of the time.
