Trying to avoid paying crazy ATM fees while traveling in Malaysia. Anyone found ATMs that are free for foreign cards? Would love specific banks or locations if possible.

At Hong Leong in Malaysia, exchange rate was great and no fees with my German card. ATM screen says it accepts all major cards.

Maybank in Malaysia didnt charge any fees on my German card. The exchange rate was fair and transparent - highly recommended in both KL and Langkawi.

Agrobank ATM in Malaysia accepts both Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit. Worked fine for me.

Maybank ATM inside AEON Mall, right in front of Burger King. Convenient location.

My IndusInd Mastercard from India worked fine at CIMB in Malaysia, and best of all - zero ATM fees!

ATM is visible from the street and easy to use. Good for quick stops.

Sometimes Public Bank ATMs are just out of cash. Be prepared with a backup plan.

Very long queue at Hong Leong Bank on a Friday. Plan ahead!

Security guard was literally sleeping, made it feel oddly peaceful. Would rate 3 out of 5 pillows
