First time I withdrew from Banco de Bogotá - lost 4.3% just on ATM markup! Then I checked fees and built a strategy: Servibanca (1.13%), Occidente (1.29%), and Colpatria (2.88%) became my go-tos. Falabella gave me 0 fee in Medellín, but was flaky in Cartagena. Bancolombia and BBVA are everywhere, but the fees pile up fast if you don’t max out your withdrawal. For budget travelers: always check limits + fees before tapping.

Bancolombia had the worst value - low limit, high fee. Davivienda was a little better at 26k fee and higher limit up to 2 million COP at some ATMs but 400,000 at some partner ATMs, so still not great for small amounts. BBVA let me take out 2.1 million but I got stung once with an 8% fee on a 300,000 cop pull. The best combo I found? Use Occidente or AV Villas if you need a lot. Use Servibanca if you want flexibility and can find one that charges 22500 instead of 28500.

I’m on a tight budget and rotated between Servibanca which charged 22500, Colpatria 25900, and AV Villas 25800. All let me pull up to 2 million COP, and the fees weren’t outrageous. Just avoid Bancolombia unless desperate 28500 fee for only 600k is a tourist trap. Also found Caja Social cheap but didn’t work reliably elsewhere. If you withdraw big, BBVA is decent just don't do small pulls there.

I tested a bunch of ATMs in Bogotá: Bancolombia? 28,500 COP fee and a tiny 600k limit. Banco de Bogotá was nearly as bad. BBVA gave a higher limit (2.1 million COP), but charged 25k no matter how little I withdrew. Then I hit Falabella  Banco at a mall - zero fee, full 2 million COP. Total jackpot, though it didn’t work for my friend’s Mastercard. So yeah, try Falabella first, then maybe Occidente or Servibanca.

With Revolut at Servibanca in Colombia, I paid 22,500 COP fee. Easy to spot on the right of Banco Agrario.

March 4, 2025 - withdrew 1.5 million COP with 18,000 COP fee at Caja Social. Reliable ATM and clear fee structure.

Fee for withdrawing at this Servibanca ATM was 28,500 COP. Seemed high for a regular transaction.
