Travelling soon and looking for best ATMs in Mexico that work well with foreign debit/credit cards and dont charge crazy fees. Any recos will be highly appreciated.
BBVA declined all our foreign cards. Managed to find another ATM 100 meters away - worked, but with high fees.
Same Banorte ATM - another smooth withdrawal using my debit card. Felt safe and worked well.
Banorte ATM in Mexico worked smoothly for a cash withdrawal using my debit card.
Banorte ATM said transferencia but then didnt complete the transaction. No cash. Visa card used. Not reliable.
Scotiabank ATM in Mexico charged 130 MXN to withdraw cash. Watch for that flat fee!
Used Santander ATM inside a supermarket in Mexico - fees were higher than I thought but location felt very safe.
Fees at Santander were higher than expected. Still worked okay.
DC ATM located inside a nice hotel in Mexico. Accepts Visa, Mastercard and more - felt secure and convenient.
Santander ATM in Mexico had great low fees - one of the better options for travelers.
Banco Azteca ATM in Mexico is located on the second floor inside a tech store - helpful to know if youre looking for it.
Santander ATM charged me a high fee of 116 MXN - more than I expected.
Citi/Banamex in Mexico has about 10 ATMs inside - they remain accessible even when the bank is closed.
Banorte tried to charge 58 MXN ATM fee. Confirmed this is now standard at many branches.
Banorte in Mexico now charges a 58 MXN fee per transaction. New policy it seems.
