You can have a great visit on €50-€65. Rimini-San Marino bus €6 each way, combined Three Towers ticket €10-€12, cappuccino + piadina €7-€10, and a small souvenir €8-€1Views, ramparts, and alleys are free after that. Add €5 for gelato and you’ve done the classics comfortably without staying overnight.

I budgeted €70/day and that worked fine - room in a guesthouse, pastries in the morning, pizza or pasta for dinner. The public museums are affordable, and the real joy is wandering those little alleys and terraces. Only time I spent more was buying local ceramics. You can go cheaper if you picnic, or spend more if you want fancy dinners. But €60-€80/day is a sweet spot for most folks.

Spent five days in San Marino last month. Worked from a café with okay Wi-Fi, stayed in an Airbnb just outside the walls. Daily spend came to about €85 - groceries, one decent meal out per day, and entrance to the towers. Transport was cheap but taxis were overpriced, so I walked everywhere. It's not built for long stays, but for a few days, €80-€100 is a decent range without missing out.

I averaged about €100/day in early spring. Stayed in a midrange hotel in the historic center, had sit-down dinners (€20-25), and did a wine tasting plus entry to a few museums. Not the cheapest destination, but also not outrageous. Public transport from Rimini was just a few euros. If you’re going for a short 2-3 day trip, budgeting €80-€110/day gives you freedom without overdoing it.
