Do places in Andorra accept American Express?

Tried using Amex at a souvenir shop and a ski rental counter - both said no. The owner explained that most POS systems in Andorra aren't set up for American Express, partly due to the higher transaction fees. My Visa debit worked fine across the board, even for small purchases. ATMs from MoraBanc and Banc Sabadell also accepted Visa without any hiccups. I wouldn’t recommend relying on Amex here unless you’re staying at a luxury resort. For the average tourist, Visa or Mastercard is the way to go.
