At Tirana Airport, the BKT ATM charged me a flat 500 Lek fee. Not the worst, but still worth noting.
Tirana Bank charged 500 Lek (around $5.30 USD) just to withdraw 7,000 Lek. And the smallest bills it gave were 1,000 and 5,000 - not great if you need change.
No problem withdrawing 75,000 Lek with my Dutch debit card at Tirana Bank. Worked without any glitches.
Tried Credins Bank today and they wanted 600 Lek just to withdraw cash. Seems steep.
Be aware - theres a 600 Lek fee at Credins Bank. Definitely not the cheapest option.
No problems withdrawing 500€ with my Austrian debit card at Credins. Didnt try for more, but it worked fine.
As a DKB customer, I was able to withdraw money from Credins Bank without any fee. But I saw others being charged 58 euros!
Theres a fee at Credins Bank, and the ATM doesnt have NFC. Bit inconvenient if you rely on contactless.
Credins Bank is now charging a 600 Lek withdrawal fee. Just a heads up before you use it.
Used Revolut at OTP/ALPHA like Ive done in 20+ other countries, but this time it charged me *more* than what I requested. I did choose local currency, but still. Definitely trying another ATM next time.
Got charged 400 Lek at OTP/ALPHA for a cash withdrawal, and there was zero notification about the fee. Feels sneaky.
OTP/ALPHA charged a huge ATM fee and gave no warning beforehand. Not cool - at least put up a notice!
Used the FIBANK ATM with an English bank card and got charged 325 Lek without any warning. Felt really dishonest.
Be careful FIBANK charges a 2.5% fee when withdrawing money. That adds up fast if youre not paying attention.
Paid 500 Lek fee at FIBANK but was able to withdraw 5000 Lek with my foreign card. So far, so good.
