Is it okay to use ATMs late in the evening in Kosovo or should I stick to daytime withdrawals only? I am a single woman travelling so want to be safe.

While co-working in Pristina, I often used TEB Bank ATMs near the University. Even at 10 or 11 PM, there were students and cafes still open. Kosovo’s vibe is laid-back and secure, especially in the capital. If you’re wondering about withdrawing cash after dark in Kosovo, you’re good as long as you use city-based ATMs near activity zones.

I was volunteering in Prizren and used an ATM inside a grocery store just after 9 PM. It felt safe and there were still customers around. Most ATMs I used in Kosovo accepted foreign cards, and the people were helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to withdraw at night in central areas, but still avoided isolated outdoor machines.

Traveling through Peja, I tried a night withdrawal from a ProCredit Bank ATM. It worked fine, but the surrounding street was empty, and it didn’t feel great. In Kosovo, it’s safe, but not always comfortable to be at an ATM alone at night in smaller towns. Best to grab your cash before sunset if you’re outside major cities.

ATM safety at night in Kosovo felt solid. I stayed in Pristina and withdrew cash from a Raiffeisen Bank ATM near Mother Teresa Boulevard around 11 PM - the area was well-lit, and there were still people out. Kosovo felt peaceful overall, and the banking infrastructure in the cities is reliable for after-dark use.
