Used my Monzo card at Rakuten Bank ATM in Japan. Normal ATM experience-no issues.

Withdrew cash from Lawson Bank ATM at midnight-fee was higher than daytime rates. Time your withdrawals smartly!

Lawson Bank ATMs were everywhere during our 1-month trip across Japan. Super easy to find, especially inside convenience stores.

SMBC always charged us fees in Japan, even when using Visa and Mastercard. There are better options around.

Couldnt switch the MUFG ATM to English-had to rely on Google Translate camera. Be prepared.

MUFG ATM in Japan charges more if you withdraw a larger amount in a single transaction. Sneaky, but true.

E-NET ATMs charge more in the evening. My girlfriend withdrew late and paid more. Stick to business hours if possible!

Avoid using E-NET ATMs on weekends in Japan-fees are noticeably higher!

Used my Revolut card at E-NET in Japan. Transaction was smooth and I could switch the language to English easily.
