Looking for reliable ATMs in Armenia that work well with foreign debit/credit cards and dont charge crazy fees. Any recos will be highly appreciated.
ACBA and Unibank ATM near Northern Avenue allowed smooth withdrawals with my Citibank Debit Mastercard. Limit was AMD 150,000 per session, and no fee!!! . Armenia ATMs for international cards like Visa and Mastercard work best at armeniabank, AraratBank and Amio branch terminals. I avoided counters in tourist-heavy areas with unknown owners - fees there quickly hit AMD 3,000+ per transaction. Stick to official bank ATMs during business hours.
I found AraratBank ATMs near Abovyan Street very reliable with my Revolut Visa. Withdrawal limit was around AMD 400,000 per transaction, and it did not charge me any fees!! 😎 Fee-free ATM collections in Armenia are mostly limited to bank branches rather than flashy mall machines. Repeating withdrawals across days kept me under my bank’s daily charges.
During my three-week remote stay, I relied on Amio and Artsakhbank ATMs across Yerevan. Using my Chase Mastercard, I withdrew the full AMD 150,000 daily limit, with no fees charge. Best ATMs for foreign credit cards in Armenia are scene-bound in-bank machines - avoid mall or kiosk units. Make sure to decline conversion and withdraw in dram for best FX value.
We used in our trip mainly VTB Bank, AraratBank and Unibank ATMs...None of those ATMs charge a fee - so we sticked to those.
At ArmeconomBank in Armenia, the ATM still exists and works fine. Daily withdrawal limit has been changed to 100,000. Its safe and I had no trouble using it.
