I need to take out quite a bit of cash during my trip. Anyone know cheapest ATMs & daily withdrawal limits for foreign cards at Seychelles ATMs?

I needed a chunk of cash upfront for excursions and island hopping. Used the Absa ATM in Victoria - they let me withdraw SCR 5,000 twice in a day, fee was SCR100 each. Later tried one at a resort and it burnt me: SCR 165 plus it cut off at SCR 2,000 per go. Word to the wise: don’t trust hotel lobbies. Bank ATMs are your pals - consistent fees, higher limits, and no funny business.

In Mahé, I tested both Absa and MCB ATMs. Absa charges SCR 100 per withdrawal, limit SCR 5,000, and usually allows 2-3 transactions a day. MCP was much better - NO FEE.. My Revolut card processed fine.

When I traveled in March, I mainly used Barclays (now Absa) and Nouvobanq ATMs. Absa lets you take out SCR 4,000-5,000 per go, with two transactions okay per day. Fee was just SCR 100 each time. Nouvobanq was cheaper - SCR0 !!!/ withdrawal - they limit you to SCR 3,500 per transaction. My UK card coped fine. Euronet machines in tourist areas were pricier - SCR 165-70. So if you’re withdrawing big, stick to bank machines.

I used an Absa ATM at Victoria International Airport and later another at Central Bank - they charge a flat SCR 100 per withdrawal, with a limit of SCR 5,000 ($360) each time. You can do two of those before you hit a daily cap, which is usually SCR 10,000-12,000 depending on your home bank.
